Our group had a wonderful time on the "2004 Broadway Bound" theatre trip to New York City sponsored by Temple High School (Temple, TX USA) Theatre Arts Teacher Natasha Tolleson. Our terrific tour guide was Laurent Nahon. These pages contain photos and notes from the trip.

The group enjoyed many, many activities packed into a busy seven days.

The Tony Awards were presented while we were in town, and nearly every show we saw as a group won Tony awards for this year.

The six Broadway shows that the entire group attended were:
Wicked (Best Actress in a Musical, Best Costumes, Best Scenery)
The Boy from Oz (Best Actor in a Musical)
Assassins (Best Musical Revival, Best Featured Actor, Best Director, Best Orchestrations, Best Lighting)
   Little Shop of Horrors
I Am My Own Wife (Best Play, Best Actor)
Avenue Q (Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score)

Various members of the group also saw:
Caroline, or Change (Best Featured Actress in a Musical)
   Bombay Dreams
   Wonderful Town (Best Choreography)
   De La Guarda
   Rent
   Thoroughly Modern Millie
   The Lion King
   Mamma Mia!

The group also:
Attended three workshop sessions with Broadway professionals
   Toured Radio City Musical Hall
   Toured Carnegie Hall
   Toured NBC Studios
Toured American Museum of Natural History
Attended a show at the Hayden Planetarium
   Toured The Julliard School

Toured the Metropolitan Museum of Art
   Toured Central Park
Attended a taping of the television show, "The View" (with Tom Hanks and free gifts!)
Had tickets for the Empire State Building (but it was too foggy that night to see anything)
and shopped all over NYC, including Fifth Avenue, SoHo and Chinatown

As we receive more digital photos from the students, we will update these pages -- so check back.

And as Glinda and Elphaba say in Wicked, "Because I knew you, I have been changed for good!"
